How to Reach?
The Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the nearest airport to the state, and it is well connected to Delhi with regular flights. The state can also be reached via the domestic airport at Pantnagar in the Kumaon region but you have to check whether the airport is operational or not.By Road
The best mode of commuting in the state is by road. There are regular private and state bus services that run through the state. You can also hire a cab/taxi. All the cities and towns in the state are very well connected by roads, in fact a few places can be reached only via roads specially the remote areas. Though the hilly region can have landslides, poor surfaces but one has to adjust the fact as there is no other means of commuting.By Rail
Almost the whole state of Uttarakhand is on a hilly region, so there is only a few major cities with railway stations. Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Nainital and two three more cities have railway stations. These stations are very well connected to the neighbouring states and to major cities of the country but not all.
