Welcome on arrival Leh in the morning & transfer to the hotel. Full day rest for acclimatization to the towering altitude of Leh (11,500 ft). Stay overnight in LEH.
After morning breakfast you will go for sightseeing of Indus Valley Monastery tour including SHEY PALACE, The ancient capital of Ladakh, THIKSEY- which is a remarkable complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, HEMIS GOMPA, the biggest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Buddhism, SINDU GHAT. Dinner & Overnight at Leh.
After breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over KHARDUNG LA- which is also known as the Highest Motor Drivable Road in the World at altitude of 18,390 Feet/ 5,602 Meter, around 39 km from Leh. From KHARDUNG LA, you can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. After that visit Nubra Valley which is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. Located in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram & Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. After arrival in Nubra you can check in to your Camp / Hotel in Hunder. Evening time you can walk around the small villages to see how the people live in this part of the world. A visit to a local Ladakhi home can also be arranged on your request. Dinner and overnight at Nubra Valley.
Special Note: The Khardung La pass may remain close till Ist week of May. In such cases the tourist will do excursion to Khadung La and stay at Leh in place of Nubra Valley on day 03.
After an early breakfast you’ll check out from the Camp, take a drive to Panomic Village including sumur. Later on drive to HUNDER where you have the opportunity to ride on a double humped (bacterian camel) amidst the sand dunes of this towering altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon & Hunder Monastry. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. Generally seen in isolation you could feel well be amongst the sand dunes of the famous Thar Desert in Rajasthan. Absolutely strange sight since immediately on the left of the road is Mountains that characterize the Ladakhi scenery and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains. While coming back stop at DISKIT which is the prime town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops & local residents going to their regular jobs. The place (DISKIT) is renowned for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently located on the top of the hill, valley facing. After it drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On reaching at Leh you’ll check in to your Hotel & overnight stay at LEH.
After an early morning breakfast you’ll proceed for Pangong Lake via Changla Pass 5486 Meters. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla Pass through its zigzag roads passing through Shakti Village. Stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photograph session and take a drive down to the village of Tangtse, relax here for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few tiny villages of Changthang & lastly you can have an impulsive view of the Pangong Lake situated at 4,267 meters (14k feet). This renowned blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of it is running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. You’ll rarely feel so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Dinner & Overnight at Pangong lake.
After an early breakfast we leave for Leh . Arrive check into the hotel and Overnight stay in LEH.
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and transfer to Leh Airport.
