Day 01: Arrival in Colombo – Kandy
Arrival in Colombo airport, Meet & Geet by our representative, then proceed to Kandy On your way from the airport visit:
• Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage : The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka is a sanctuary for wild Asian elephants, providing care for orphans and injured elephants. Established in 1975, it’s known for its large herd of captive elephants, conservation efforts, and the unique experience of observing these majestic creatures up close. Next afterword move to Kandy.
• Kandy City tour (Visit Kandy Upper Lake drive / Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic / Cultural Dance Show) : Kandy, also known as Mahanuwara in Sinhala and Kandi in Tamil, is a major city in Sri Lanka located in the Central Province. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. The city is situated amidst hills in the Kandy plateau, which spans an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and serves as the capital of the Central Province. Notably, it is home to the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. This temple was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988.
Historically, Kandy’s local Buddhist rulers resisted Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial expansion and occupation. The city has been known by various names, including Senkadagala or Senkadagalapura, and it played a crucial role in preserving unique customs, culture, and arts until it finally succumbed to British rule in 1815. Kandy remains a vibrant city with bustling streets, ancient temples, colonial architecture, aristocratic gardens, and the picturesque Kandy Lake. Visitors can explore its rich history, cultural sites, and natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination in Sri Lanka”.
Day 02: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and Check-out from the hotel then transfer to Nuwara Eliya En-route Visit: • Tea Plantation & Tea Factory • Ramboda Water Falls • Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple “Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple is an important Hanuman Temple in Sri Lanka, located on the summit of a picturesque mountain in Ramboda, 30 km north of Nuwara Eliya. Constructed by Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka, it is dedicated to the deity Hanuman. Visitors can witness the 18-foot Hanuman statue, the tallest in Sri Lanka, inside the temple. The temple’s history is intertwined with Ramayana, and it hosts special poojas during full moon Poya days and Hanuman Jayanthi. The temple is situated at Thawalamtenne, Rambda, on the KandyNuwara Eliya main road.
Later Proceed to Nuwara Eliya / Start the Sightseeing tour in Nuwara Eliya Visit: • Lake Gregory Park • Seetha Amman Temple “Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s picturesque ‘Little England’, is celebrated for its tea gardens and cool climate. The Seetha Amman Temple, steeped in Ramayana lore, marks where Sita was believed to be held. Nearby, Lake Gregory is a hub for recreation, with boating and scenic walks around the park, offering a blend of spiritual history and natural beauty.”
Day 03: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and Check-out from the hotel then transfer to Bentota En-route visit; • St. Clair’s & Devon Water Falls • White Water Rafting in Kitulgala White water rafting in Kitulgala is a thrilling experience on the Kelani River, featuring 3 major and 4 minor rapids. Surrounded by lush forests, it’s a popular adventure sport destination near Colombo, offering additional activities like jungle trekking and waterfall abseiling.” Later Proceed to Bentota Check inn at your hotel and Overnight stay.
Day 04: Bentota Sightseeing
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel .Then Proceed for the sightseeing tour in Bentota “Bentota is a coastal town in Sri Lanka known for its golden beaches and water sports, while Galle is a historic city famed for its Dutch Fort and colonial architecture. Both offer unique experiences, from Bentota’s relaxing seaside atmosphere to Galle’s rich cultural heritage” Visit; • Water Sports in Bentota (Jet Ski rides, Banana Boat Rides, Water skiing, ect…..) • Sea Turtle Conservation Center • Madhu River Boat Safari “The Madhu River Boat Safari offers a serene journey through mangrove forests and past 64 islands, showcasing Sri Lanka’s rich biodiversity and ecological significance” • Galle Dutch Fort “Galle Fort, also known as the Dutch Fort or the “Ramparts of Galle,” is a seventeenth-century colonial fort in Sri Lanka.
It stands on a rocky promontory facing the Indian Ocean and is surrounded by rocky shores and an imposing landside rampart. The fort has a rich history, having been first built in 1588 by the Portuguese and later extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological, and architectural heritage monument that maintains a polished appearance due to extensive reconstruction work by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.
The Galle Fort has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population and has been recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage World Heritage Site for its unique exposition of “an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.” The fort withstood the Boxing Day tsunami and has since been restored” Later Overnight Stay at your hotel in Bentota.
Day 05: Bentota – Colombo
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and Check-out from the hotel then transfer to Colombo“Colombo, the vibrant capital of Sri Lanka, is a bustling metropolis blending modernity with colonial heritage. Known for its diverse architecture, cultural mix, and lively streets, it’s a city where historic temples and bustling markets coexist with skyscrapers and lush parks” Visit; • Independence Square • Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple • Galle Face Green • Pettah Bazaar Also you may visit Colombo’s famous shopping malls for some last minute shopping @ One Galle Face mall one of the famous malls in Colombo. Later Overnight Stay in Colombo Hotel.
Day 06: Departure
After Breakfast, Check out & transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
